The prophets life in Madinah

The prophet started a new life in Madina after the migration. He (the prophet) had an important task, which was to build a masjid. The people in Madina were fighting that the prophet should take their land to build the masjid. The prophet then said that Allah wants him to build a masjid where his camel rested when they arrived to Madina. The place where the camel rested was where 2 orphans lived. The orphans wanted to give the prophet their land for free, but the prophet insisited that he will pay.The prophet paid because he wanted to set an example. At the masjid, the prophet and his companions set an example of what the masjid should mean to the muslims. The masjid was not only a place for prayer, but it was also where the muslims did the following things: 1.learned about their religion 2.discuss what the concerns of the muslims were 3. discuss where the community would be together 4.solve their problems 5.and finally make strategies and plans We should try to follow the prophet's example in our masjids as well.
